Hey friends,
Hope you had a good weekend.
Here’s this week’s 1 Doodle · 1 Do · 1 Direction.
1 Doodle
Sometimes the problems we face in life are very small, but they still drive us crazy.
For example, for me, putting a cup of water on a wooden desk without a coaster, or at least a piece of paper under it, is a big deal. I know it sounds tiny. It is not a huge life problem. But if someone does it once, I remind them. If they keep doing it, it slowly drives me crazy. :D
One of my friends has a similar rule in their house. When they run the dishwasher, they put a fridge magnet on the door so the next person knows the dishes are clean and doesn’t add dirty dishes.
The other day, he almost put a dirty dish in, and his wife said, “Don’t add that. It’s clean.”
He said, “Then where is the magnet?”
She said, “I forgot.”
And that tiny thing became a big moment.
These are small things, but they can have a big impact. The important part is how we respond to them. Do we turn them into a big fight, or do we find a better way to reinforce the habit?
For me, that means putting enough cork coasters on every desk at home. For my friend, maybe it means putting the magnet in a more obvious place.
This week, I drew this doodle to remind myself that the way we respond to small mistakes can either keep life peaceful or turn a tiny problem into a much bigger one.
1 Do
What is one tiny mistake that drives you crazy when someone repeats it?
Instead of only getting annoyed, ask yourself: is there a better way to make the right behavior easier?
Try a few simple methods and see what works.

Sometimes the best way is to have an honest, direct conversation.
You can say something like:
“I know this sounds ridiculously small, and you might even think I’m a little crazy, but this tiny thing really bothers me. I don’t want it to become a bigger issue between us, so can we please find a better way to handle it?”
Tiny problems don’t always need a big reaction. Sometimes they just need a better system, or one honest conversation.
That’s all for this week.
Warmly,
