Hey friends,
Hope you had a good weekend.
Here’s this week’s 1-1-1.
1 Doodle
This week, I made one of the biggest career decisions of my life. I left Intel. Yesterday was my last day and today marks my first day at KLA.
If you don’t know, KLA is one of the leading companies providing equipment and solutions to the semiconductor industry.
When facing a choice between a "good" option and a "bad" one, the answer is obvious. The real challenge comes when we are faced with two great options. Staying at Intel would have been great (an iconic company with plenty of room to grow), but moving to KLA is also great (a highly respected industry leader where I can gain valuable new experiences). Both paths are strong; you really can't go wrong with either.
Many decisions in life are like this: both paths look promising, and it ultimately comes down to our call.
Typically, our instinct is to ask the people around us to find a clear winner. But that often leaves us even more confused because we forget the most critical variable: ourselves. When others give advice, they speak from their own perspectives, strengths, and desires, which are entirely different from ours.
In moments like these, I stop polling others and have an honest conversation with myself. Whichever path I choose, I remind myself of one thing: I have the power to make it a beautiful experience.
1 Do
If you are caught between two good choices, write them down and ask yourself: Which one will you commit to turning into a beautiful experience?
1 Direction
When I make a major decision, people often think I am 100% confident about the choice itself. That isn’t true. What I am 100% confident in is my ability to make the absolute best out of the choice I make.
That’s all for this week.
Warmly,
- Ehsan /a-🌞/
